What Do You Mean "Muskoka-Based" Vendors?

Muskoka is a popular spot to get married and many of those weddings happen for couples who make up the seasonal population. This means that many will bring their vendors north with them instead of hiring locally because they are accessible WHEN they are planning their Muskoka weddings WHERE they are planning them.

Wedding vendors who work outside the of 'Muskoka' area like Simcoe work in more year around, less seasonally vulnerable wedding markets than we do here. They are close to the major cities, and the cities can support year round weddings even with the slower months (November to April).

This show is to give Muskoka-based wedding vendors a better shot at connecting with couples from outside of the area by putting them infront of the couples, WHEN they are planning their weddings, WHERE they are planning them. The goal is to establish better relationships with the Toronto vendors so they know who they can count on in the area, as well as plan these Muskoka weddings face to face instead of over email, the phone, and waiting for the spring thaw to make any progress.

What counts as 'Muskoka-Based'? I'm speaking specifically to those based in RTO - 12 (Regional Tourism Organization 12). Taken from website for The Great Canadian Wilderness Up North (formerly Explorer's Edge) "Explorers’ Edge is the region of Ontario that includes Algonquin Park, the Almaguin Highlands, Muskoka, Parry Sound, Loring-Restoule and South Algonquin. With Georgian Bay on the west, Algonquin Park on the east, Lake Nipissing to the north, and Muskoka’s iconic lakes to the south. The region is located just two hours directly north of Toronto and just south of North Bay..."

Though we have lots of friends based in other areas, this is an opportunity for us to share our piece of paradise with others, and to reinvest in our businesses and our populations. If you are a 'Muskoka-Based' wedding vendor and wish to exhibit in the first Get Married in Muskoka - The Wedding Show IN Toronto, January 13, 2024 from 10-3, reach out! Can't wait to hear from you. If you're engaged and looking to plan your own Muskoka wedding, we can't wait to meet you! Get your tickets now!
